| The Weekend For as long as I can remember, as a family we have run the Bed and Breakfast over the British Grand Prix Weekend at Silverstone in July which has usually fallen on the first or second weekend of the month, We have always made it our aim to make sure that all the visitors get the most out of their stay and find it enjoyable and relaxing. Every year to date has been a roaring success, with our guests often mixing and in many cases remaining in contact with us and fellow guests alike after the weekend. Take a peek at the 'Visitors Comments', to see past comments dating back to our first years. |

As you may well know the Silverstone Grand Prix Weekend has 'varying' degrees of sunshine! Whatever the weather though, Rectory Farm has something for everyone! We have always found that after the race and entertainments on offer at the track the guests tend to find themselves either looking for a local restaurant or drifting with the crowds to the pubs in the village of Silverstone. In recent years we have provided a barbequing area and facilities which after the main race-day has been the setting for many an excellent evening where all the guests have got together for an evening meal to discuss their experiences of the day over a few glasses of wine. This is where we hope to improve your stay. If barbequeing your evening meal with a few drinks and some like-minded 'racing' folk doesn't appeal then we can offer a taxi service to the surrounding areas where many restaurants and pubs serve fantastic evening meals. (however bear in mind the demand for this is huge this weekend and it is advisable to book tables or at the least phone ahead to check availablity). Just two miles away we have a fine golf course. For the more cultured we have Althorpe (home to the Spencers and resting place of Princess Diana), and Canons Ashby. And if a day spent doing laps of the track on foot hasn't worn you out enough, then we can lend you a few tennis raquets and you can work up an appetite for an evening meal that way. Alternatively, weather permitting, a relax in the pool is usually a welcome 'wind-down' at the end of the day. Pricing We only take bookings for a minumum of 4 days between 18th to 22nd June 2009. We charge a set price of £70 pounds per head per night. We can provide a taxi service to surrounding areas for an extra 7 pounds per head per journey. (journey is limited to a radius of 10 miles) |
